A community company run for local benefit since 2002

We take a pride in supplying the finest of Mull and Iona's beef, lamb, mutton, pork and venison (when available). In doing so, we aim to contribute to the sustainable economic development of our islands. Meat Production on the islands is naturally seasonal. When necessary, we will supplement our product range from selected Scottish suppliers.

Tony & Angus

So why is the company different?

None of the profits are distributed amongst individuals - we are a social enterprise. The Directors, draw from the local community, give their time freely. This allows us to give a fair price to local crofters and farmers.

What's so special about our meat?

Meat product from the island does not have to travel far, which is good for the animals and for the environment (fewer food miles).

Our beef is fully matured giving it a darker colour but a full traditional flavour. His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales came to Tobermory to help celebrate the shop’s 1st Birthday in June 2003.

Do we make our own burgers and sausages?

Yes - of course! Handmade on the premises with far less fat than mass produced ones. We can tell you exactly what is in our products and if you want anything specially prepared or cut - just ask.
